Kakamega county is located in western kenya about 30km north of the equator. It consists of 12 constituencies in total namely: Butere, Mumias, Matungu, , Likuyani , Mumias East , Khwisero, Shinyalu, Lurambi, Ikolomani, Lugari malava and Navakholo.

Governor's Message

As a county we must ensure:-

  • Enhanced food security as a priority as nobody is proud of a food insecure community
  • Increased household incomes in order to lower poverty levels that are unacceptably high and
  • Creation of employment in line with my manifesto, especially targeting our Women and Youth who constitute the largest part of our productive population.
